Rachel received her Master’s of Social Work in 2008 from The Ohio State University. During her education, she interned with the Delaware-Union Alternative Education where she conducted therapy groups with emotionally disturbed adolescents, provided individual therapy sessions, and social skills groups. Rachel assisted adolescents with disabilities complete school work, applications and resumes, and participated in IEP meetings. She also interned with Buckeye Middle School, maintaining a caseload of students having a variety of behavioral issues.
Along with working part-time here at Trinity, Rachel is also a Clinical Supervisor at the Buckeye Ranch here in Columbus. She provides in-home therapy and support for children with mental health diagnoses and their families who are struggling with such things as stress, substance abuse, trauma, or family conflict. Rachel is trained to establish effective relationships with families by maintaining regular contact and appropriate follow-up in order to reduce behavioral relapses. Her primary goal is to develop and implement appropriate therapeutic treatment plans to improve the family and the child’s ability to function in the community.
We are happy to have Rachel here with us at Trinity!
